Shatterproof UV-A tubes: These lamps have the lowest mercury content in the industry and are 100% lead-free, with an optimized spectrum and very attractive to the eyesight of the house fly, actinium BL lamps TL-D (K) Secura are perfect for attracting insects. These lamps emit almost no UV-B light output, making them very safe. In addition, they have a special “Secura” coating that keeps all glass and components together in the event of accidental breakage. This eliminates the risk of glass fragments or gas spreading.

Glue traps: Arod glue traps are 100% toxic free. They are designed for our AROD UV-A light units, however, they can be used in other products too, depending on their size. They are very effective thanks to the formula of the glue, ensuring that the insects are well attached to the trap, for an insect free environment.

UV light is invisible to the human eye. Just because a lamp in a flying insect management system appears lit, you cannot assume that it is emitting enough UV light to attract flying insects. Thanks to water based phosphor technology the new PestWest Quantum BL bulb has been developed to concentrate energy distribution around the peak of 365 nanometers wavelength. This is highly attractive to flying insects and shows 100% improvement in effectiveness. Degradation of UVA is also significantly reduced resulting in a 40% increase in output over other standard BL 350 UVA bulbs.

PestWest boards are double-sealed, front and back, to protect against moisture absorption, in steamy or high moisture environments such as kitchens etc. This avoids the problem of the board warping with time. As a special glue is used on the PestWest boards, the glue stays on the board and not on your hands or clothes, if accidentally touched. Other cheaper, inferior boards often have wet glues that can be very messy to handle. While wet glues appear very sticky to the touch, many of them form a very thin hard skin on the glue surface when in contact with air or UV light. This can prevent small insects from being trapped.
